Ágćtis byrjun - Sigur Rós

Here are a band who have not conformed in an attempt to suceed in the UK. Unlike all their other Scandanavian counterparts, like the Wannadies, Bellatrix and the Cardigans, Sigur Rós still sing in their own language, and all the artwork are in Icelandic too. But this really helps them, because listening to Sigur Rós is like listening to music from another world.

This is the sound of isolation, and lonliness, from the top of a cold mountain somewhere. The perfect soundtrack when you want to be alone.
