Mo*Ho*Bish*O*Pi - Vague*Us

Just like all their singles, this album stomps along on its little glammy boots. At times they sound like early Manics (Motorcycle Loneliness era) and then sometimes they sound like the punky side of Ash, at othertimes Mansun. All mixed together with some 70s Glam Rock.

The best songs on here, unsurprisingly, are the singles, particularly Hear the Air and Drop Jaw. They show what is great about 2 minutes 30 seconds indiepunk songs, just blasting anyone in its path away. The surprising thing about this album is that the band do not speed through all their songs, and do pause for a while, as shown in the final track Harpers.

It's tough work keeping up with the album, there is so much energy in it. But there is the reward of hearing a great debut album. Just hope they don't grow up for the second one!
